Who ever tells you that there is nothing to do in DC…does not know how to live life! haha Its been a trip. Coming here to D.C. has been one of the most healthy things that I have ever done. For the first time in my life I actually feel my age. I do not feel so much like a kid but still am. It’s funny how I needed to go to our nations capitol to finally feel independence…
I miss home but I am also doing things I want to do without feeling tied down. It’s a great feeling to get away sometimes. A change of scenery is exactly what the Doctor ordered.
Alexandria is beautiful. brick sidewalks, river 10 min away (walking), trader joes, safeway, cvs, wholefood, 7eleven. boutiques, old town theatre, nice restaurants, everything you need within walking distance. D.C is just a metro ride away. Maryland is a train/metro ride away also. NY is just an 18$ bus ride. And then toronto is another 50$ from NY. Pennsylvania: Falling Water, Frank LLoyd Wrights other works and Kahn’s work.DC: festivals, adams morgan(nightlife, beautiful area to be in), Georgetown( shopping, university, walk by the river, georgetown cupcakes), National Mall, Walking in the city, Smithsonian Museums, FREE MUSEUMS!…LIbrary of Congress(houses everything ever published) need i say more?
Theres something to do every weekend, if you can’t find anything to do…you are either an extremely dull person or you just suck at researching….catch up with with the 21st century…learn how to google! so get off your computer…get out of the house and feel the sun/wind/snow/rain on your skin and feel alive as you surround yourself with live humans that are making good use of their bodies energy!
